Inanimate Answers is a non-canon spin-off show of Inanimate Insanity that premiered on September 12, 2020. The show was created by Justin Chapman and features him interviewing Inanimate Insanity characters in live action. Objects are animated by drawing on top of a real-life object.

Welcome to Inanimate Answers! Justin “invites” INANIMATE INSANITY characters to the REAL WORLD and asks them to reach deep within themselves to advise the lovely people of the Internet! In the midst of the utter zaniness, both the objects and Justin learn about themselves and their wonky reality

On September 10, 2020, after "Breaking the Ice" reached 10 million views, Justin Chapman said "SPECIAL SURPRISE SATURDAY THAT’S BEEN COOKIN UP FOR TEN MONTHS!" This meant production started by at least late 2019.
The show was announced on September 11, 2020 on Twitter,[1] a YouTube Community post,[2] and the Inanimate Insanity Discord, which was the day before the show's premiere. The show was announced to premiere on September 12, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. ET/9:00 a.m. PT. After the announcement, the creator, Justin Chapman, said it was filmed in 2019 and "...if y’all like it, we’ll make MORE of them!"[3] Taylor Grodin said he animated the intro for the show.[4] Grodin also said, "MANY exciting new ventures are in store for #InanimateInsanity! To kick it off, Mr. @JayBudVA is bringing his wholesomely chaotic show to AnimationEpic!"
