—Out of Body Experience |
Ballpoint Pen is a deuteragonist of Inanimate Insanity Invitational's episode, Out of Body Experience. He is voiced by Brian Koch.
Personality[]
Ballpoint Pen is shown to be a tough critic, intimidating his reviewees so much so to even unnerve MePhone4 at his arrival despite MePhone's usual easy going personality.
Being a critic, Ballpoint is very curious and observant. He pays a very high amount of detail to his surroundings to help him with his critiques, ranging from contests to the contestants themselves.
Appearance[]
Ballpoint Pen has an elongated oval-shaped barrel for a body. He has golden stripes across him including a golden tip at the top of his head. He also wears gold glasses, which appear to be stuck onto him as there are no temples that hold onto anything across his head.

In "Out of Body Experience", Ballpoint Pen approaches a very nervous MePhone4, alongside Bot and Nickel and asks if he had been interrupting something. MePhone quickly revives the other contestants, and asks him if he had been enjoying the season so far. Ballpoint says that he judges media with two questions: whether he had a ball, or if it had a point. He tells MePhone that he was "in the ballpark", until the recent medical evacuation, and other incidents, that the season was just another season with disaster. He notices Bot and Nickel, and wonders if everyone else quit. MePhone says they didn't, and diverts his attention to revive his contestants. Ballpoint however starts questioning things, after Goo talks out of Balloon's body, but Candle convinces Ballpoint that it's part of a roleplay exercise. Ballpoint admits that he is a little intrigued by the concept. Ballpoint alongside MePhone watch the contestants as they battle in the bridge challenge.
Later, after the challenge is finished, MePhone asks Ballpoint what he thought of the challenge, which he assumed was based off of his favorite game. Ballpoint gets angry and disappointed, stating that his favorite game was the card game, and asking if he had just been assuming everything. As he begins to leave, Ballpoint tells MePhone that he should be making something that HE believes in, and that you cannot control if people like it or not. He gives MePhone a review, which says "YOU CAN'T DO THIS FOREVER", before disappearing into thin air.
In "You Can't Do This Forever", in the vote between whether The Unvitational Committee should burn or not burn MePhone4 alive, Ballpoint Pen's vote for keeping MePhone alive is seen. Ballpoint Pen's vote brings the vote to 6-5 for not killing MePhone, somewhat sparing his fate. Tyler Bombard explains that Ballpoint Pen had been invited to the Committee, but never ended up showing up.
In "Objects in Mirror", Ballpoint Pen makes a small appearance beside Walkie-Talkie, repeating the fact that MePhone "can't keep the show going forever".
