Best Served Cold is the 7th episode of Inanimate Insanity Invitational and the 39th episode overall. It was released on February 19, 2022.
Synopsis[]
With our team dynamics disarranged, a delectable challenge awaits our newly-unbalanced group of 12! And after MePhone presents an enormously tall order, will things heat up, or will things get chilly? … After all, revenge is a dish…
Plot[]
Pre-intro[]
The episode starts with Candle reading Goo's and Bot's aura, after reading Goo's aura as vibrant yellow, full of hope, creativity, even if from a confusing source, and a source of positivity. Upon hearing this, Goo was initially glad. However, Candles stated that Goo shared his faults for being cautious, frail, nervous, and having a fear of unknown troubles, which led to him quickly panicking. Bot then asked Candle to read their aura, only led to the latter's sudden silence, later broken by The Floor's appearance, startling Goo. As Cabby stated, the scream as the worst she had ever heard, Cabby, Bot, Goo, and The Floor laughed. The screen cuts to see MePhone4 in the Calm Down Cabana, stating his discontentment with all of the joy. As soon as he heard the laughter, he stepped in to ask Candle what she was doing, Cabby then replied to Me Phones that Candle was only doing aura readings, and that she, herself, was collecting the data that Candle provided. MePhone then took a look at the aura data, giving him the idea to disarrange the teams.
Post-intro[]
MePhone4 announced that he would disarrange the three teams into two, sorting mainly by the contestants' weaknesses. As a result, The Sinkers are disbanded, and The NEW Pinkers and The NEW Thinkers are formed with significant team members modifications. The members of The NEW Pinkers are: Test Tube, Bot, Paintbrush, Silver Spoon, Cabby, and Balloon. The members of The NEW Thinkers are: Goo, Yin-Yang, Nickel, The Floor, Candle, and Clover, MePhone4 then puts the blame onto Cabby. MePhone4 says that he's hungry and the contestants recommend some food, which Clover recommend a Mile High Pie which surprises everyone; MePhone4 then says that she "Nailed it!"
Challenge[]
MePhone4 announces that the challenge is to make a Mile High Pie, using ingredients from the Pic-Nix Tables. The Floor suggests that they could just use the tables to make a Mile High Pie, but MePhone says that they can only generate half of a Mile High Pie. Nickel tries to convince MePhone to let him near the tables but is reminded that hes "banned for life". The NEW Thinkers start collecting ice cream, while Goo tried to do a group "Hoo-Ray" which annoys Nickel into leaving. Over at the The NEW Pinkers, Silver Spoon tells Paintbrush to keep stacking, while they angrily keep stacking the ice cream. Silver tells Balloon that he's in charge with the pies crust. Cabby, wanting to make things up with Test Tube, tells her that she was sorry for discrediting her intelligence and that they would work well together. Test Tube agrees, and they create the Smart Alliance. Cabby gives Test Tube her file on Silver, telling her to reveal if Silver or Paintbrush is taller. It's revealed to be Silver, so Cabby suggests that Silver should be stacking it instead. Cabby goes up to Bot and tells them to make a second ladder using chairs. The repeated use of "chairs" hurts Bots head so Test Tube suggests that Cabby deal with it while she takes Bot to get ice cream. Nickel is seen at the Pic-Nix Table as Test Tube arrives there, and decides to help Nickel out by removing his ban. Nickel tells Test Tube to look after Balloon. Nickel then generates a Mile High Pie. over at The Thinkers, Goo exclaims that they had created a TWO mile high pie. The Floor starts eating the pie to fix it. Cabby goes to check on Balloon to see he had added multiple flowers to the crust, which horrifies her. The Floor ends up eating too much leaving half a Mile High Pie, but Nickel intervenes with his own, placing it on top. Due to Silvers annoyance, Paintbrush bursts into flames, burning a part of the pie and making Silver face-plant into it, which makes Paintbrush start laughing. MePhone returns to judge the pies, putting The Pinkers up for elimination due to not making a Mile High Pie.
Elimination Time[]
Cabby told Test Tube that they should vote Silver Spoon out since Paintbrush and Test Tube are close, making him the obvious pick. During the elimination however, it is revealed Test Tube showed Cabby's files to everyone on her team, with all of them being outraged. It is then revealed Cabby is the one eliminated, bewildering her. She is distraught by Test Tube betraying her, saying they could have gone far. Test Tube then talks about how she was writing down everyone's flaws to try and take everyone down. Cabby talks to Test Tube about writing down their history, but they aren't convinced. Before she is eliminated. She tries to ask some questions regarding Bot, but MePhone quicky interrupts her and pushes her away and into the Fist Thingy III
Post-Elimination Time[]
Candle asked Goo whether he was in a comfortable headspace to receive some unsettling information, to which he replied "yes". Candle then revealed the fact that she could not read Bot's aura, as they had none, the scene ends with Bot pulling out a mechanical piece out of their head.

- Goo and Bot continue their "Cheer Factory" from the previous episode.
- Later when Goo is separated from Bot, the "Cheer Factory" becomes the "Cheer LLC".
- This is the first time Bot is hinted to being a mechanical replica of their deceased counterpart since "The Shame of the Name".
- MePhone4 deciphers a message in the "Aura Readings" sign the same way he does for the whiteboard in "Mazed and Confused".
- He also follows up with "The ideas been right in front of me all along", once again from "Mazed and Confused".
- MePhone4 notes "It was all Cabby's idea", referencing the same line in "Stranded in Paradise".

- The Mile High Pie appears to be based on the New Orleans version of the dessert which consists of three flavors of stacked ice cream topped with meringue.
- Taylor Grodin, the head writer, lives in New Orleans, and appears during the credits eating a real life Mile High Pie.
- When suggesting things to eat, Silver Spoon suggests beignets, another culturally significant food from New Orleans.
- Sound effects from Stardew Valley can be heard whenever a character says "Mile High Pie" in a speech bubble.
- Paintbrush angrily sending up a large beam of flame is a reference to Enji Todoroki’s/Evendavor’s Jet Burn from My Hero Academia.
- When Test Tube was showing Cabby’s files to her team during the elimination, the scene has a striking resemblance to the Closing Argument segment in the Danganronpa series.
