The Blue Ray is an invention created by Test Tube, as explained by Box, it is used to prevent people "at-risk" from dying.
Function[]
When the Blue Ray is shot at someone, it puts them in a blue colored force field that prevents them from taking any physical damage.
The Blue Ray eventually runs out and needs to be reapplied, as shown in "Fan the Flames". It can be discerned when the effect begins to wear off as it loses its color and sparkle.
In "Run the Risk!", The Blue Ray is shown to cast "Spheres of Silence" (which look like a mixture of bubbles and Goo's asset) which appear to prevent any sound from entering or leaving the spheres.

- The Blue Ray seems to freeze the target's body asset as shown in Test Tube's liquid remaining the same form after shot.
- The Blue Ray might also function as a weapon, as Test Tube pointed it at Poppy to threaten them in Cob Mentality.
- If the Blue Ray doesn't function as a weapon, this could just be because Test Tube wanted to look intimidating since Poppy is new and wouldn't know how the Blue Ray worked.
