The Egg Planet is a planet in the Inanimate Insanity universe, and the home planet of the Light Shimmers. It was first seen in "Hatching the Plan", through the Prime Shimmer's flashback story.

The Egg Planet is a planet in the shape of a Baby Shimmer egg, with a large ring surrounding the planet. Being an extrasolar planet, it orbits a star located in an unknown part of outer space.
On the surface, the planet is covered by what appears to be blue and purple sand, with a large amount of rocks scattered around the area. Several large, colorful aurorae additionally cover the planet's skies. It also has bluish haze surrounding the surface. Large mountains and striped monoliths which have similar patterns to the Shimmers themselves are also present in the background.

In "Hatching the Plan", the planet is first described to Fan and Test Tube by The Prime Shimmer. Long before the events of the episode, the planet was visited by Meeple, who offered advanced technology for information about their unique source of energy. After the Shimmers refused to do business with them, an army of MePhones, seemingly led by MePhone3GS attacked and colonized the planet, breaking through its protective shell. The MePhones managed to steal two Shimmer Eggs from the planet with one eventually ending up on Mars.

- The Egg Planet is the third celestial object that is tied to the plot, the others being the Inanimate Planet and Mars.
- It is, however, the only extrasolar planet (exoplanet) in the series.
- It is the only planet featured in Inanimate Insanity that has rings.
- The large egg-pattern monoliths on the planet are pretty much identical to the ones seen on Inanimate Island.
