Exit Interviews are an interview centric spinoff series introduced in tangent with Inanimate Insanity Invitational. The series interviews eliminated contestants from Inanimate Insanity Invitational after they are eliminated and sent to Indefinite Island. The first episode premiered April 17th 2021.

Overview

Following their elimination on Inanimate Insanity Invitational, the eliminated contestants are interviewed by "Inanimate Public Radio" (IPR) in a question and answer format utilizing questions asked by Patrons of AnimationEpic. The interview is mainly audio only against a colored background with a graphic for the contestant and an icon for the interviewer and occasional usage of clips from Inanimate Insanity Invitational.

On occasion, Lifering has interrupted Exit Interviews for a sponsored ad. In Box's interview, he becomes the Exit Interviewer.

Overall, 6 out of 16 episodes had a sponsor interruption tangent by Lifering in every interview.

Trivia

• The first few Exit Interview's were all unscripted, and the series started being scripted with Tea Kettle's interview.
• Nickel's interviewer was Gordon Holmes, who is known to interview eliminated contestants on the reality show Survivor. His Youtube channel can be found here.
  • Meaning Gordon is another featured guest star of the show other than Saberspark.
  • Silver Spoon's interviewer was Antony Kos, who not only voices Party Hat in Brawl of the Objects, but composed the Cake at Stake theme for Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two.
• Thus far, Lifering is the only contestant to both be interviewed and be an Exit Interviewer himself.
  • There's also moments where makes brief physical cameos in charge of every but not all interviews that contains a sponsorship from that company, who are sponsored in almost every interview.
• Exit Interview is similar to Whatcha Packin' and After the Race.
• The Floor is the only contestant to not get an Exit Interview due to never leaving the island.
• The shortest interview is Box's whereas the longest is Silver Spoon's.
• Paintbrush's thumbnail has the non-binary flag colors, unlike any thumbnail before it, which has the thumbnail colors being hues of the character's color.
• On the topic of design choices for each character thumbnail, there were several changes to each Exit Interview thumbnail:
  • Up until Paintbrush's interview, each character were slightly tinted to resemble their own colors.
    • This changed with characters having their normal colors as well as also having a morphing checkered design for the background (excluding Test Tube if the new background design is ignored).
  • Goo's Exit Interview thumbnail design still displays his face in his silhouette.
  • Paintbrush and Bot have white outlines in their silhouettes similarly to the old Exit Interview thumbnails.
    • However Bot has an extra outline in their silhouette.
  • Lifering, OJ, and Test Tube still kept their design highlights with the hole shape and shines respectfully for their silhouettes.
• On May 1, 2024, it was confirmed that Silver Spoon, Balloon and Cabby would be receiving exit interviews.
  • This means that Cabby will be the only contestant to receive two exit interviews.
