"One-Shot Wonder" is the 4th episode of Inanimate Insanity, and the 4th overall episode of Inanimate Insanity, released on July 1, 2011. The episode was removed and promptly re-uploaded on September 14, 2011.
Description[]
It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's a bird... and the 12 remaining contestants of Inanimate Insanity, competing in a slingshot-themed challenge inspired by the iPhone game: Angry Birds. The contestants slingshot, or at least attempt to slingshot, each other over a cliff. What could go wrong?
Plot[]
The episode starts when Nickel runs over Knife, and explains to him how he was trapped in the Locker of Losers from Battle for Dream Island. Knife wants to cheer Nickel up and thinks of making s'mores, so he grabs Marshmallow, sticks a twig through her, and roasts her over a fire. Nickel, however, refuses to eat her, and states that sometimes Knife "can be a real" something, his sentence cut off by the episode introduction.
After the intro, Balloon is seen talking to OJ and Bomb about how Marshmallow popped him in the previous episode. The conversation moves on to Balloon forming an alliance with the two, even though they don't understand what's happening.
MePhone4 announces the challenge, a slingshot contest, wherein the goal is to shoot one teammate to the other side of a cliff. If they fall into the gorge, they fail. The challenge starts with Team Chickenleg, where Balloon is asking Salt to be a testing dummy, but Salt, being afraid of the gorge, doesn't want to. Balloon threatens Salt, stating that he and his alliance will eliminate her if she doesn't, but when he calls for OJ and Bomb, they are seen ordering Chinese food. Knife calls to roasted Marshmallow to get across the gorge since, she is the smallest; still burnt, she doesn't answer, but Knife shoots her across anyway, and she makes it.
On the other team, Salt finally agrees to go first, but when Pickle and Balloon pull the slingshot back, they suddenly trip over Rocky from Battle for Dream Island. Salt is flung into the gorge, causing Pepper to jump after her. Balloon yells in anger, then orders Pickle to fling him across.
Lightbulb is about to do it, but trips over Rocky and breaks. Nickel comments on how clumsy she is, and offers to be flung himself. Knife is about to shoot Nickel, when he steps on the broken remains of Lightbulb and screams, letting go of Nickel, who flies into the wall of the gorge. Balloon is then shot by Pickle, but flies very slowly.
Pickle states that he told Balloon that it wouldn't work and calls him an idiot, then says that he can get Taco across the gorge, who says "fat cakes," to which Pickle agrees, stating that Balloon is indeed fat. This annoys Balloon. Pickle then shoots Taco, who pops Balloon in mid-air while he was almost to the other side of the gorge. Pickle calls to OJ and Bomb to try and get them across, but OJ trips while holding Chinese Food, which hits Bomb, who explodes. The massive explosion blows Pickle and Taco onto the other side.
After a Cheese Craft commercial, Marshmallow, Pickle and Taco have to compete in a tie-breaker, which is a tug of war contest. Because Marshmallow was roasted, she can't move, so Pickle easily wins the contest with one small tug. Team Epic is up for elimination again, but MePhone says that the fans will vote now, causing Fan to state that he's glad to be allowed to vote, before MePhone clarifies that he did not mean the type of fan that Fan is, but instead the viewers.
At the end, OJ is yelled at by Fan, who says "no order for you, sir!"

- Marshmallow, Paintbrush, and Rocky appear; however, they do not speak. Marshmallow vocalizes during the s'more scene, where she is voiced by Adam Katz.
- Nonexisty appears; however, his voice actor is unknown.
Trivia[]
- This episode marks the first appearances of both Fan and Cheesy.
- Nickel asking "how can you burn your own friend!?" is the line "how can you kill your own friend!?" spoken by Pencil in Battle for Dream Island.
- This is the first episode to contain profanity. MePhone4 gives Knife immunity, he says that it is because "he was the only one on Team Epic that did anything worth a damn."
- Pickle says that he thinks he fractured his ulna while holding his eye. The ulna is actually a bone in the arm.
- When MePhone4 explains the challenge, he uses the Red and Chuck from Angry Birds as examples.
- Rocky from Battle For Dream Island makes two cameos during the challenge.
- The Cheesecraft Minecraft server no longer exists, as its IP address was repurposed.
- This is the last appearance of Nate Groth as the voice actor of Balloon. He would provide the voices of Nick Le and Dictionary in the succeeding two episodes.
- Two scenes from this episode were removed from its original YouTube upload in 2022. They are:
- The receiver of Bomb and OJ's phone call responding "twenty-nine dollars, please" in a stereotypical accent.
- Fan taking back the Chinese food that Bomb and OJ ordered.

- When Salt says "okay, fine. I'll go first," the slingshot overlaps with her leg.
- At 2:54, when Salt says "that's an awfully big gorge" to Balloon, there is a visual error lasting several seconds. Because this error was not present in the original upload of the upload, it can be assumed to be the product of re-rendering.
The glitch
- When Knife says "yeah, I wanna shoot" during MePhone4's explanation of the challenge, Pickle is missing arms.
- When Pickle calls to OJ and Bomb, his face is lower on his body than normal.
- When Pickle is launching Balloon, his arms do not actually touch the slingshot.
- When Nickel is flung from the slingshot, while he was in the air, clouds were visible, but after he faceplanted, they were not.
- When MePhone4 "explains" Tug of War to the viewer, another person can be heard laughing in the background.
