Gemories are diamond-shaped gems inside Gemory Cave that first appeared in "Mine Your Own Business". They contain remnants of MePhone4's memories.

Appearance[]

Gemories are all identical and each is a faded shade of blue. The gem is diamond-shaped and inside the gem are four small diamonds. A smaller diamond and square shape are in the center of the gem. There is a white and black ring around the corners with four black spikes that cut into the gem.

Coverage[]

The gemories were created by MePhone4 sometime before the first season of Inanimate Insanity due to his desire to expel bad memories of his creator, Steve Cobs. Each memory contains a piece of MePhone4's life prior to the show, including his gradual declining relationship with Steve Cobs, and his discovery of MePhone3GS. After the gemories were expelled, they vanished into Gemory Cave.

Following the events of "Alternate Reality Show", MePhone4 was troubled by the image of Steve Cobs in Paintbrush's painting, and an attempt to recall his memory, MePhone4 searched for the specific files but found nothing, resulting in his software crashing and requesting that the memories be restored to reboot his system[1].

Oh god those eyes 1

Test Tube's reaction to touching a gemory.

In "Mine Your Own Business", contestants were required to go through the unknown cave and find the respective gemories in order to reboot MePhone4. When a contestant touched a gem, the gem would glow intensely, causing the respective contestant's eyes to go wide with static and allow them to view the memory inside.

With only six gemories inside the cave, each contestant recovered a gemory, except Fan, who was later eliminated. MePhone4 then took MePad back to the cave in order to show him a hidden gemory, this one much bigger than the others, containing the memory of MePhone4 escaping Meeple Headquarters with an inactive MePad.

Trivia[]

  • The gemories bear a striking resemblance to the "diamond with a dot" emoji, pictured here: 💠.
    • This resemblance may be intentional, as MePhone4 is based on an iPhone which carries this emoji.
  • "Gemory" is a combination of the words "gem" and "memory".
    • The official name of the gem was confirmed by Taylor on the Inanimate Insanity Discord.[2]
