Save it, Star. You never made any time for me when we lived, why should anything be different now that we're DEAD?

Objects in Mirror

Guava is a minor character on Inanimate Insanity II and a member of the fictional band Spoiled Lemon. She is voiced by Angela Giarratana.

Back in "Mazed and Confused", she formerly played using a triangle. But by "Objects in Mirror", she was now given the role of lead singer, after Starfruit.

Appearance[]

Guava takes the appearance of a lime green guava, with a brown stem originating from the top of her body. At the middle-right of the stem there is a green leaf. In her older versions (2021 and II2 10), the leaf originates from the left of the stem. In her debut, her leaf is significantly larger, as well as her not having any highlights.

Changes[]

II2 10

  • Guava's body color looked a lot darker.
  • Guava's body is also more rounded.
  • Guava's leaf was a lot larger.

10 Year Anniversary Poster (2021)

  • Guava is now pear-shaped.
  • Guava is way more vibrant.
  • Guava's leaf become somewhat smaller.
  • Guava's branch is adjusted at a different angle.
  • Guava has both received a shine and shade in her body asset.

II2 18+

  • Guava’s branch is slightly sharper.
  • Guava's branch is also once again adjusted, now slanting at the back side.
  • Guava is a bit paler compared to her previous design in 2021.

Personality[]

Initially, she did not provide a personality of her own back then in her debut appearance in "Mazed and Confused" alongside her fellow band co-members from Spoiled Lemon. The only thing she does in the aforementioned episode is that she plays a triangle during A Party, all the while she displays eagerness to be in the band by smiling along and enjoying her time alongside her band co-members as much as she do. However, there is a completely different side of her than more than she initially does in her only appearance other than being a triangle player.

Guava is shown to be a loud, rough, enthusiastic, passionate, boisterous, and energetic person who wants to stand out from the crowd. She is also shown to be bitter when she feels left out, ignored, or pushed to the side as seen when she held a grudge against Starfruit for not letting her have her own solo song for a while. She later forgave him when she got her own song, showing she needs to be in the spotlight/have attention for some time to be soothed. This could possibly portray her as somewhat fussy.

She is shown to love the contestants of Inanimate Insanity for their supportive attitude towards each other and the band, stating that they have made her proud.

In the finale song in "Objects In Mirror," it is stated that Starfruit invited her to the band and promised to "take her far."

Coverage[]

Inanimate Insanity II[]

"Mazed and Confused"[]

She is shown to be with the Spoiled Lemon only serving as their triangle player.

"The Reality of the Situation"[]

When Paper mentioned that there was a planned out reunion for Spoiled Lemon, Starfruit mentioned that she ditched the band for no clear reason, assuming that she left the band due to having the lack of recognition she receives. Although her disappearance was also unknown to what happened to her afterwards. This led to Starfruit desperately searching for Guava in an attempt to make amends with her.

"Objects in Mirror"[]

Either Fan or Test Tube have teleported all the Spoiled Lemon members to be here where they were all gathered. When Starfruit confesses to her about being treating her as an outcast, Guava resents his conversation for how much it still hurts her that she doesn't have the privilege or recognition she has compared to him. Starfruit responds to her that he is more alive than he initially does when he is with her. Although she had to process on what she had listened to her, their conflict may have been resolved off-screen between the escape from MeAfterlife, to the aftermath of Steve Cobs.

As the Purgatory Mansion, now called MePad Mansion, was rebuilt to dedicate in his honor, some characters and Spoiled Lemon have organized a stage, and most of them along with Marshmallow prepared a speech of how it's not always about the personality they first act along with, but rather the personality and overall character they want to become. And as Starfruit said his speech the same way, Guava now takes center stage by becoming the newest lead singer of the band, having to sing most of the "I, I" medley by herself along with bandmates and a lot of characters who sung along in the medley as well. At the end of the song, based on the line that she said "Yeah, that was it! Save and lock!," it is likely implying that this medley serves as a memory, not only with full dedication, but also a tribute of how Guava has become a full-fledged and proud member of Spoiled Lemon for as long as when they first exist.

Inanimate Insanity IV[]

"Fan the Flames"[]

Even though she was nowhere to be seen in terms of screen time, she was mentioned by Lightbulb to Starfruit that he is struggling to deal with things with her even after her dream of becoming the band's lead singer, and also implying about his relationship with her, which Starfruit dismisses as he talks about the love of the stage, possibly forgetting about her ever since he joined Season 4 of the series.

Trivia[]

  • Guava is the only female member in the band Spoiled Lemon.
  • It's implied that at one point Starfruit and Guava may have been dating, seen in "Objects in Mirror", where Starfruit confesses to her. However, assuming that's the case, as of "Fan the Flames", they've most likely broken up.
    • This can also suggest that A Party was about Guava.
