Y'know, lately I've been worried if I went by a different name, or maybe even... looked a little different, I wouldn't be me anymore.

Bot

"Home Is Where the Heart Is" is the 12th episode of Inanimate Insanity Invitational and the 44th episode overall. It was released on February 18, 2023.

Synopsis[]

What if an eliminated contestant refused to leave? MePhone would be floored.

Plot[]

Following the previous episode’s elimination, the Fist Thingy is seen slamming itself into a nearby fence. MePhone4 scolds The Floor on why he thinks he should stay on the island, due to being eliminated. The Floor tells him that he liked it here, and that he kind of WAS the island. MePhone tells him that if he has to stay, then he would be considered invisible, and that none of the remaining contestants would ever interact with him. The Floor cheerfully says that it worked for him.

Later, MePhone attempts to do challenges with the contestants, including basketball and breath-holding. The Floor sabotaged all of them, which continuously frustrates MePhone. MePhone then attempts to do an episode one tribute, and signals Candle to jump onto a trampoline on the bottom of the cliff. Right before Candle jumps, The Floor teleports on top of the trampoline, which startles her and sends her backwards off of the cliff. MePhone gets angry due to The Floor ruining his anniversary special, and revised the channel for the final time: Get The Floor off of the island.

Challenge[]

Bot tries to get the rest of their alliance to help find The Floor, and Nickel questions how they were supposed to follow someone who could teleport. Bot sarcastically tells him that standing still is much better. Nickel tries to see if Bot has any other solution when a butterfly from Clover’s luck gets in his way. Silver questions this, and Balloon tells him Clover had given him luck, but he didn’t like to use it. Silver scolds Nickel for having luck and not wanting to use it. Balloon tells Nickel that he should let the luck prove itself to him, and their alliance decides to follow the butterfly.

Paintbrush watches on, with a sad look on their face. In the Calm-Down Cabana, Cabby explains that Paintbrush thinks their game is in shambles after Candle betrayed them, and that she needed to prove to them that they were strong. Cabby approaches Paintbrush, and tells them that they were always the brains of the team. Paintbrush tells her that if they were the brains, they wouldn’t have let everything fall apart. She says that Paintbrush always had the same problem: they always got stuck with an undeserving leader, and that she was there to lift it up. Yin-Yang asks for her to lift them up, which gives Paintbrush an idea.

The Floor teleports to find Nickel’s butterfly, but swiftly teleports away after seeing their alliance approaching his location. Balloon and Nickel discuss whether catching The Floor could be testing luck's limits. Candle tells them that it’s not just about having luck, it’s about how you use it. Paintbrush, Cabby and Yin-Yang get shovels, with the idea of using a homemade terrarium to contain The Floor. Cabby says this is how it can go with a partner who respects them, unlike Silver, OJ, and Lightbulb. The mention of Lightbulb puts a depressed look on Paintbrush’s face. The Floor suddenly teleports to their location, and the three of them attempt to scoop him up. Yin-Yang manages to scoop him up with his shovel, and tells The Floor he doesn’t belong there. The Floor angrily tells him he does, and shakes the ground, causing him to escape. The Floor teleports under a palm tree, and is distracted by a butterfly who leads him to a picnic. The Floor notices the deviled eggs, and realizes it is a trap. Bot manages to capture him on a basket, which scares him. Bot realizes that having an entirely new outside must be confusing. The Floor tells them that every surface takes a while to get used to, before popping away again. The butterfly hides behind Balloon, which gives Silver an idea. Silver gets all of the contestants and MePhone to get inside of a hot air balloon, so they could soar away from The Floor. MePhone says that he was sadly considering this option. The Floor suddenly teleports onto the hot air balloon, sending Silver off of it and to the ground.

Everybody regroups on the ground. Paintbrush tells MePhone that getting rid of The Floor is a bad idea. MePhone tells them that he can’t just let chaos reign. Paintbrush retorts telling MePhone he knows he belongs here. Silver arrives, and brings up the bridge incident and how that was able to kill The Floor. Silver says that he hopes Yin-Yang attempts to or kills The Floor, which would make him lose respect from the viewers for the immunity vote. Yang tries to talk to Yin about trying to kill The Floor. Cabby tells him that it was a terrible idea, which Paintbrush asks if it was as bad as one of Lightbulb’s. Cabby tells them she wanted to give them the support they always needed, and that Lightbulb only had leaps in logic. Paintbrush says that Lightbulb gave them the courage to start taking those leaps. Cabby starts panicking, and tries to recall the crab that Lightbulb had given them. She scrambles to her files to find one of Baxter, but looks up to see that her group had left. The Floor appears behind Cabby, noting that she really relied on her files. Cabby tells him that without them, she wouldn’t remember anything. She concludes that Paintbrush didn’t want to be partners with her because she had nothing to offer. The Floor consoles her, telling her she knew how to make him laugh earlier. Cabby realizes this and tickles him, putting him in the terrarium. Cabby looks at the terrarium and frowns, saying that she had just been given the answer. Cabby runs away, and The Floor gets upset. The Floor is suddenly approached by a smiling Yin-Yang, who sits down next to him. Yang suddenly starts punching The Floor, in an attempt to kill him. The Floor angrily shouts at him, shaking the ground and teleporting away.

The other contestants sit around while Bot draws on a piece of paper. Candle tries to think of ways they could get rid of The Floor, suggesting they go underground. The ground suddenly starts violently shaking. The contestants look toward the Volcano, and Paintbrush realizes that it was “The Red Spot”. Bot lifts Balloon up to see The Floor inside, boiling up the volcano. MePhone motions everyone to the bunker, which he realizes he never built. Bot drops Balloon and starts running up the mountain, going to the rim of the volcano. Bot tells The Floor that lately, they were worried if they went by a different name, or looked different, they wouldn't be themself anymore. They pull out a drawing, illustrating The Floor in several different environments, and tells him that he made them realize they would still be themself. The shaking on the island suddenly stops, and the other contestants get relieved. Paintbrush tells MePhone that although Bot didn’t get rid of The Floor, they did “save them” from him.

Everyone regroups on top of the volcano. Yang tries to apologize to Bot for trying to kill The Floor. The Floor tells MePhone that he seems to need more help with logistics, and offers to be MePhone’s new assistant. MePhone laughs and declines, saying he never did anything right, but realizes that was the type of assistant he would be stuck with. Paintbrush commends Bot on what they did, and Bot reveals they would now go by “Bot”. Bot looks at their drawing, illustrating what they wanted their new look to be. Balloons talks to Nickel about whether Silver and Candle would stick with them at the vote. Nickel tells him that they need to be convenient allies to take out the game's “most perceptive” player.

Elimination[]

MePhone tells the Final 8 that whoever got eliminated would have to leave the island, not wanting this incident to happen again. MePhone then sarcastically reveals that Yin-Yang had won the Immunity vote for the 6th time. MePhone tells Yin-Yang that he was his second favorite contestant left in the game, but that the Immunity Vote would be removed due to making it too predictable. Silver Spoon gets upset realizing he had manipulated Yin-Yang for nothing.

The votes go between Candle and Paintbrush, and it is revealed that Paintbrush was the 12th eliminated contestant from Inanimate Insanity Invitational. Candle tells them to take this that they were substantial, and Paintbrush walks towards MePhone. MePhone tells them he couldn’t imagine how hard it was to leave the island, and that most of the time it was paradise. Paintbrush tells them it was a fun vacation, but their heart wasn’t in it anymore. MePhone closes his eyes while Fist Thingy sends them away, and the episode ends.

Voting Results[]

Only the top 5 most voted characters have been shown. The fans voted for Yin-Yang to receive immunity. This is also the last episode where viewers were able to vote, as Yin-Yang received immunity too many times and the game would be unfair and too predictable if they kept it.
