Inanimate Insanity SEASON 4!? (also known as MEET THE OTHER YOU and previously DON'T LICK THE COUNTERPARTS on jacknjellify's channel), is a short uploaded on the AnimationEpic channel that announced the II and BFDI 2025 Meetup Tour and the official release of the 4th season of Inanimate Insanity.
Plot[]
Before the connection[]
Test Tube gathers I.I Nickel, I.I Taco, Balloon, Fan, Bomb, and Lightbulb to her bunker to show off her latest invention. Bomb says that I.I Nickel sent him to get a stapler, Balloon points out that I.I Nickel sent him to look for Bomb when he never got the stapler, but Lightbulb tells them to stop talking. Test Tube said that after Steve Cobs' assassination, she'd normally invent a cloning process so that they could continue to eat his corpse. Fan tells Test Tube to never call Cobcorn that again, then I.I Taco exclaims that his corpse tastes delicious. Test Tube said that next, she'd harvest Cobs' mind as well, since they raided MeCloud's archives as well, so Test Tube has been researching ways to recreate Meeple technology. Balloon asks if they should keep calling it "Meeple technology" since they're reclaiming it, he asks if they should rename it to "Weeple technology", then Fan proposes they should rename it to "Ourple", Lightbulb says that she wants to rename it to "Usple" but finally Test Tube says that she'd name it to "Shut up-ple", as a result of people interrupting her speech.
Test Tube said that she created a portal, like the kind MePhone4 used to make, but this time, Test Tube made it so that it'd allow them to visit another parallel universe. Lightbulb asks them if they go back to Inanimate Insanity Infinity, and that if they do, I.I Black Hole still owes her $10. Test Tube says that Inanimate Insanity Infinity was an alternate timeline, and the alternate universe is the one they'd be crossing over to, and not a timeline. Fan asks if this is another crossover, and Test Tube responds with a yes. She's hopes they'd meet alternate versions of them, so as guests in the new universe and reminds them to remember the science rules. Bomb accidentally drank the same purple potion Bomby drank in "Intruder Alert". Balloon is upset about the catchphrases in rule number 3. Lightbulb licks the counter, and it didn't taste the same, so she thinks it was new varnish. Fan says that the setup is unnecessary, he says that the crossovers just got to happen on the show, and Test Tube is okay with that, and so he starts the portal. I.I Nickel asks wheres the stapler, but they already went to another universe, so he went also.
During the connection[]
Some of the Inanimate Insanity characters emerge from the portal and land in the Battle for Dream Island universe. Test Tube greets Tennis Ball, however the latter is unsure of whether Test Tube is his counterpart, since she's not a ball. They then both say their favorite law of physics to confirm it, which is the law of conservation of linear momentum. Test Tube then compares them to looking at a round fuzzy mirror.
I.I. Nickel is upset that there's two Test Tubes now, and BFDI Nickel states there's two nickels, and it's nice to see him again. I.I. Nickel is upset to to see him, but BFDI Nickel states it's 100% real. The former interprets it as taking Nickel's place for TPOT, but the latter denies it and walks away.
Lightbulb talks to herself about having one nickel for every nickel she had, in which she would have $10. However, she states that Black Hole owes her money, however Black Hole doesn't know who she is. Lightbulb thinks that Black Hole is playing dumb, and Bottle joins in the conversation. Test Tube and Tennis Ball both state that it would break the laws of physics for Black Hole to pay Lightbulb.
Fan looks at Fanny, amazed at seeing a technologically advanced version of himself. The former states that he loves crossovers, however Fanny states that she hates crossovers. Fan is bewildered, however states that BFDI and II have different premises, however Fanny hates Inanimate Insanity. Fan is shocked, stating that the show isn't perfect but still food. Fanny angrily interrupts, blowing Fan away.
Balloony attempts to save Fan, however, since he's a balloon, he falls slowly. Balloon says that Balloony is really a different version of him. The former snaps at the latter, stating how they're nothing alike, as Balloony's voice is smooth while Balloon's is squeaky, Balloony is green while Balloon is a "hideous pink", and how he doesn't even have a string. Balloon attempts to get Balloony, but also falls very slowly.
Taco talks to I.I. Taco, and tries to get her to guess what number is the former thinking of, as BFDI Taco thinks that I.I. Taco is a clone of her. The latter doesn't think that's how it works. The latter apologizes for being too harsh, and trying not to be something, however is cut off by BFDI Taco, who interprets the latter's words as "not two", which is correct. BFDI Taco asks if I.I. Taco is also considered a traitor, and I.I. Taco is shocked on how BFDI Taco knows that. I.I. Taco talks about all the things she did in II, however BFDI Taco states that her situation was simply a misunderstanding.
Bomby greets Bomb, however the latter doesn't know what Bomby is talking about. Bomby also doesn't know what Bomb is talking about. They both stare at each other until Bomb suggests to drink a purple liquid he found, which Bomby accepts. They drink it and turn purple, similarly to Bomby's prize in "Intruder Alert".
Test Tube notices the crack in reality, and she questioned if someone time traveled and messed with the past. Tennis Ball is about to explain, however Nickel cuts him off. Test Tube gives Tennis Ball her notes about repairing space-time phenomenon. Later on, Test Tube tells the I.I. crew that it's time to go back to their world, and everyone agrees. Fan says goodbye to Fanny, and Fanny shakes hands with him, despite what happened previously. Lightbulb is sad that everyone else got to meet an alternate version of themself except Lightbulb. Bottle cheers her up, stating how there's someone that's just like her. The person is Yellow Face.
After the connection[]
The I.I contestants go back to their universe. Test Tube thanks them for making contact with their alternate versions. Bomb is glad that he finally found a stapler, which is Stapy. While Test Tube tries to stop them, BFDI Nickel pops up from behind the desk, and everyone laughs.
Trivia[]
- The start of the AnimationEpic's version includes scenes of Test Tube's Lab that later is featured in Season 4.
- This is the second time that the BFB hand-drawn and Inanimate Insanity Season 2 assets are used for a meetup/tour announcement, with the first time being in the small promo for the 2018 meetup.
- The 2018 meetup promo featured the BFDI and II worlds conjoined together, whereas the 2025 tour announcement featured the Lab and the Hotel's rooftop.
- This is currently the last time the II2 artstyle is used overall.
