An Inner-Flame is a creature that lives in an object's body and grants its holder special abilities at certain points when a contestant's body fully relaxes. There are also situations where a Flame can fully take over the object's body, commanding it freely and acting according to its own thoughts and wishes, as seen in A Jury of Your Fears with Silver Spoon's Flame. The Flame can also communicate with others telepathically when it takes over the body and alters the appearance of the body it is taking over drastically (such changes in looks are also present when it lends its abilities, altho they’re toned down).
Care must be taken when it comes to controlling an Inner Flame, as Candle has described it as having "a mind of its own." The Flames have distinct thoughts of their own which may lead to actions vastly different from its Holder, although the Flame is aware of their Holder's emotions and own thoughts.
It's also stated by Candle that the Inner Flame is of "great importance to the world".
As of You Can't Do This Forever, only 2 characters have been seen with an Inner-Flame; those being Candle (as first seen in The Overthinkers) and later, Silver Spoon. It is unknown how Candle learned to use her Inner-Flame, but what is currently known is that Silver learned from Candle training him.

- In their Tumblr, Justin Chapman described Candle's Inner Flame as "a dangerous creature that Candle works very hard to keep in check" in answer to someone's request for Candle fun facts.
- At the live 13 Years Of Inanimate Insanity celebration stream, it's confirmed that, for an object to activate their Inner Flame, they need previous contact with another Flame holder.
