Hello advice seekers! My name is Justin, and welcome to Inanimate Answers! |

| —Justin Chapman | ||
Not to be confused with Justin Chapman, Justin Napolitano, or J.U.S.T.I.N.
Justin Chapman (also referred to as Inanimate Answers Justin Chapman or IA Justin) is a character who was introduced in Inanimate Answers as the host of the show. They are a fictionalized version of Justin Chapman, a former director of Inanimate Insanity who also created and directed Inanimate Answers. They were played and voiced by Justin Chapman.
Appearance[]
Visually, Justin is identical to their real-life counterpart. They are fair-skinned with short, curly brown hair. They are more traditionally masculine-presenting, usually sporting a crooked necktie and plain white socks. They always have on a wristwatch.
In the intro and question animations, Justin appears in a cartoon form similar to Justin Chapman's persona. They are colorless and illustrated in white outlines on a light blue paper background.
In KNIFE VS THE FANS, Justin is wearing a dull red t-shirt, cream necktie, and tan shorts. They have a wig of their natural hair color which they toss away during their introduction, yet it appears again at the end of the video.
In BALLOON VS THE POPPER, they are wearing a white t-shirt, pink necktie, and navy pants, as well as a plain purple party hat to celebrate their eight-months-belated birthday.
In BOW VS DINOSAUR, they are wearing a long black ripped cloak to resemble the attire of a ghost. Later, they are seen in an orange inflatable dinosaur costume, meant to imply they are physically a dinosaur.
In APPLE VS SANTA, they have on a black Christmas sweater and blue jeans.
Personality[]
Justin acts somewhat similarly to how their real-life counterpart acted back when IA was being produced. They are cheery and excitable, rarely getting visually upset. They have little to no compassion for their guests, and when they display empathy, it is usually pitying the guests instead of trying to relate to them. They think very highly of themself, calling themself a "perfect human" and acting as though they are incapable of making mistakes. They refuse to believe when they are wrong and will violently deny any such claims. They are very proud of themself for hosting Inanimate Answers. They usually behave in a childish manner, liking traditionally immature things like dinosaurs and believing in Santa Claus. They physically gesture a lot with their hands and strike dramatic poses in reaction to what their guests say. They are very outwardly friendly to the point of oddity.
Abilities[]
- Life After Death: Justin, after dying, can stick around as a ghost instead of simply ceasing to exist.
- Shapeshifting: They can manipulate their physical form after dying (labeled by Bow as a "death form"). Justin's death form is a dinosaur.
- Resurrection: They can bring themself back from the dead, shown multiple times in Inanimate Answers, such as when they died in BALLOON VS THE POPPER and revived themself by APPLE VS SANTA.
- Levitation (ghost): They can float midair as a ghost. (It is unknown whether this is actually something they can do or if it was just an editing gag.)
- Teleportation: Justin can travel to different places instantaneously.
- Interdimensional Travel: They can create portals to other dimensions, which is how they can access Inanimate Insanity contestants.

Trivia[]
- In the Inanimate Insanity Direct, Brian referred to Justin as "a separate noncanonical beast" distinguishing the Justin in Inanimate Answers from the real person of the same name.
- Inanimate Answers Justin was created before the real Justin Chapman came out as agender, therefore in the show Justin is referred to with he/him pronouns. This wiki page refers to IA Justin with they/them pronouns out of respect for Justin Chapman, as also done with J.U.S.T.I.N.
- They are not the only fictionalized Justin Chapman. In the II Direct, there is another segment (directly after the Inanimate Answers skit) with another Justin character, referred to by the real person as "Justin-With-Glasses". This is their only appearance.
- In the Inanimate Answers skit in the II Direct, Justin proposed to Box's corpse under the assumption it was male. It can therefore be inferred Justin is possibly gay or thistlian.
- Similar to the real Justin, they have no brothers. When Bow offered Dough to them because they mentioned always wanting a brother, they rejected her because Dough was "too squishy".
