This article is about Magic-8 in Inanimate Insanity, previously known as 8-Ball. For the Battle for Dream Island character, see 8-Ball.
Magic-8 (previously known as 8-Ball) is a recommended character in Inanimate Insanity, who appeared in "A New Stage In The Game", being recommended by TheBombDigityShis. He is voiced by Bendyfan Animations.
Personality[]
Magic-8 is more of a floater than a contributor. There is nothing special that he has done, but his favorite number is 79.
Appearance[]
Magic-8 is fairly large and round with an 8 on the side. He is completely a shiny shade of black. The 8 is surrounded by white. He originally bore a striking resemblance to 8-Ball from BFDI, but his design was changed in 2021 to distinguish him, making his body now 90 degrees rotated. He is shown to be a Magic 8 Ball now rather than a billiard 8 ball, as shown by Dictionary shaking him in the 10th anniversary poster, his name change to "Magic-8" as of "The Stacker (Remastered)", and Magnifying Glass using him as a Magic 8 Ball in "War De Guacamole (Remastered)".
Coverage[]
Appearances[]
In "A New Stage In The Game", Magic-8 is one of 10 contestants shown off to the viewers who have a chance to rejoin.
In "War De Guacamole", Magic-8 is welcomed to the paintball gun challenge, along with the other 9 players. However, Magnifying Glass attempts to use Magic-8 as a shield, resulting in him getting hit and losing the game.
Trivia[]
- Magic-8's favorite number (79) is actually a hidden joke, as 8 is between 7 and 9. Remove 8 from 789 and you get 79 (Magic-8's favorite number).
- There is an 8-Ball in Battle for Dream Island that is quite similar (and has the same recommender) to Magic-8 here, although that 8-Ball doesn't have a favorite number, which is a recurring gag and main personality trait.
- Magic-8's design was later changed so that people don't mistake him for said 8-Ball.
- Magic-8's 2017 appearance reuses BFDI 8-Ball's BFDIA 13-onwards asset, but like mentioned before, it was changed to an original asset to avoid confusion.
- Magic-8's design was later changed so that people don't mistake him for said 8-Ball.
