The Mile High Pies in Best Served Cold are made by stacking multiple different types of ice cream and chocolate on top of a baked crust until it reaches a mile high, topped with whipped marshmallow cream and a cherry on top. The versions served in the episode appear to be based off a variation of it's real life counterpart, Baked Alaska, also sometimes known as Mile High Pie. Unlike it's counterpart, though, most real-life Mile High Pies are only a few inches tall.

- The Mile High Pies shown in the episode appear to be based off of a specific version of the pie served in the Pontchartrain Hotel.
- Adam Katz made a short on AnimationEpic's channel where he made this version of the pie, which was significantly taller.
- Although Mile High Pies are usually made using Neapolitan and peppermint flavored ice cream, the ones made in the show are made from only Neapolitan ice cream flavors.
- Every time Mile High Pie is said by a character, sound effects from Stardew Valley can be heard.
