"Season 2 is Back!" (also known as "Host to Coast") is an animated short that was released on March 30, 2024, advertising the BFDI & Inanimate Insanity 2024 Tour. It also confirmed the return of Inanimate Insanity II.

Plot[]

The video starts from where You Can’t Do This Forever left off MePhone4 teleporting via the Rejection Portal to the top of the Eiffel Tower that was painted in BFDIA 8 in the Southern Goiky Plains, MePhone4 initially believes that he is in Paris, when the Puffball Speaker Box appears, wondering why he is at the Eiffel Tower. MePhone4 tells the PSB that he is trying to return to the second season of his show. The Puffball Speaker Box replies by claiming that he's in the second season of her show, Battle for Dream Island Again.

MePhone4 and PSB arrive to a city. MePhone4 attempts to teleport again, and suddenly, after they leave, Evil Leafy appears. MePhone4 and PSB then arrive at Seattle on a rainy day, PSB then looking for MePhone4 to say something important, and then she found MePhone4 in a box. Soon after, MePhone4 teleports back to season 2 and Puffball Speaker Box said that she will now live in Seattle.

The last portion of the video features Cary, Michael, and Adam announcing the BFDI & Inanimate Insanity 2024 Tour, with all the information the viewers need to know about it such as the release of the new Evil Leafy Plush, the Pin pin, and the locations and dates of each of the six meetup locations.

Trivia[]

  • Similar to the previous year's video taking place after "Friend or Froze", this episode directly follows "You Can't Do This Forever", where MePhone4 uses the Rejection Portal to return to the main island.
  • This is the first meetup announcement short where the JacknJellify and AnimationEpic versions of the short have entirely different plots rather than the plot diverging. As a result, many characters from Inanimate Insanity appear exclusively in the JacknJellify upload, including Fan, Candle, Bot, Cabby, Lifering, Box, Sprinkles, Tyler Bombard, Tea Kettle, Starfruit, Apple, OJ, Groscer, and Camera 1 and Camera 2.
  • CRT and Pyramid, who are characters created by Sacri and GreenyGuy respectively, appear in this video. Specifically, they appear in the Houston Space Center.

Cultural References[]

  • Puffball Speaker Box says "Tossed salad and scrambled eggs" which is a reference to the theme song of the American sitcom Frasier.
    • There is another reference to Frasier in the ending of the short where Puffball Speaker Box says she's gonna be living in Seattle now, and it cuts to a title sequence, which references Frasier's theme song.
