Springtastic

Springtastic is a fictional cereal brand present in Inanimate Insanity Invitational. Not much is known about them, other than that they had old Commercials, and that they have a mascot, being Springy.

Appearance[]

There are three flavors of Springtastic cereal, being "Original Flavor", "Boing Berry Blue", and "Spring Berry Crunch". Each box has the Springtastic logo with Springy holding a spoon and a cereal bowl. The cereal has "edible" springs and corn flakes in it. Each box claims to have a spring toy in them (although we never see this on screen, possibly the springs within the cereal) and a "frustrating" puzzle on the back.

In Spring on the Breakfast!, Mephone4 signed a contract for them to sponsor his show and sent Springy to the show. They tried to get Bot as the new mascot, but failed as Springy is eaten by The Floor.

The commercial took place in a realistic set with the kids being special effects. The disclaimer shows not actually to eat springs.

Trivia[]

The commercial is a parody of various popular cereal commercials from the 90s.
The ending credits in Spring On the Breakfast! feature an instrumental version of the commercial jingles.
There are two versions of the commercial; VHS or 80s/90s broadcasting version (featured in Spring On the Breakfast!) and a High Quality (HQ) version.
The composing, mixing, and the credits instrumental were made by PS3tronic, who is known for their 80's-styled covers of music from various object shows.
Real versions of Springtastic cereal were given away at the BFDI X Inanimate Insanity 2023 Experience meet-up to VIP attendees. A minimum of order of 100 boxes was required, and 200 were ordered.^[1]
- There are currently six images featuring real Springtastic cereal boxes.
The cereal boxes come in three colours: Yellow, Pink and Blue.
- Coincidentally, the colors of the Springtastic boxes are the same colors as the III teams: The Thinkers (Yellow), The Sinkers (Blue) and The Pinkers (Pink).
Springtastic and the Fruity/Cocoa Pebbles cereal boxes and features are very similar:
- They both feature cartoony mascots (Springy, Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble)
- They both have flake-like cereal.
- They both have 'toys' in every box (e.g. Springtastic has springs, and the Pebbles cereal have small toys and puzzles).
- Their commercials sometimes have very catchy songs about the cereal (like the one in Spring On the Breakfast! and the Fruity Pebbles Berry Blue commercial).
The Boing Berry Blue flavour name is also a reference to the Fruity Pebbles' Berry Blue flavour (that being the blue flakes/pebbles).
The Springtastic commercial song is in the key D Major.
In BFDIA 15 (''Spore Day'') after everyone says ''Spin Spin Spin'', Pencil says ''-tastic!'', like a reference of this song.
In the Spanish Dub, "Resortetastico", the Spanish name of Springtastic, is literally "Springtastic" in Spanish.
