TWO OF THEM!? - BFDI X Inanimate Insanity 2023 Event is an animated short released on April 15th, 2023, which advertised the upcoming BFDI and Inanimate Insanity 2023 meetup.

(For the sake of clarity, II Nickel is shown like this, and BFDI Nickel is shown like this.)
Book tells Two that Nickel has died. Two goes to the recovery center, and while recovering Nickel, Nickel shows up, but Two is confused as the recovery center still took their request, then a different Nickel is recovered instead as a result of Nickel dying in Friend or Froze.
Nickel quickly realizes he's not where he used to be, and questions where MePhone is after his recovery. Two, thinking that Nickel is a pirate variation of Nickel after misinterpreting "II" as "aye-aye" and "MePhone" as "me phone", calls him "matey" and offers to help him find his device.
Nickel says he's THE Nickel from Inanimate Insanity, then he notices Nickel standing right next to him and wonders who he is. Nickel told him that he is THE ONE AND ONLY Nickel from BFDI, BFDIA, IDFB, BFB, and TPOT. Inanimate Insanity Nickel insists that he's the real Nickel, as does BFDI Nickel. Two asks how that happened. Inanimate Insanity Nickel thinks it's a mystery and questions who would have ever let there be two Nickels. Two explains that they inherited BFDI Nickel from the other two. Inanimate Insanity Nickel misinterprets this as "another two", but Two means Four and X (at first, they misinterpret "another two, too" as "another tutu", but note that they only have one tutu).
Then, Two went to Four and X to have a talk about two Nickels. Four's thought of helping Two makes them upset (due to their past) but they only never remembered "one" Nickel so they went on vacation. The two Nickels start arguing and mocking each other, and especially their differences between each other.

Two just thinks Inanimate Insanity Nickel proved all three of BFDI Nickel's points. Four sarcastically remarks he didn't know they could count that high. BFDI Nickel says that Inanimate Insanity Nickel will "never NEVER be a boyonocerus" and tells him to "Dab on that" which shocks Two and Book. Inanimate Insanity Nickel decides to prove to BFDI Nickel that he's an OG by asking the MOST OG host there is.
Then suddenly, Inanimate Insanity Nickel tells Announcer that he got replaced for BFDI Nickel. Announcer explains that in "Reveal Novum", when Inanimate Insanity Nickel tried to join the original BFDI, he declared that he would win. Between that and the little sign Inanimate Insanity Nickel held up about replacing Coiny, it was clear to Announcer that he was a clone with a bad attitude, but Inanimate Insanity Nickel meant "TO DO LIST: EMBRACE COINY" which was the reason he wore prosthetic arms for a hug, since he's bad at spelling. Announcer doesn't believe him, then says that he's heard Inanimate Insanity Nickel is on his own show, but can't remember its title. Announcer guesses that Inanimate Insanity Nickel figured that if he couldn't replace Coiny, he was going to try and replace all of the characters. So, he decided to replace Inanimate Insanity Nickel by holding auditions for the BFDI Nickel. Turns out, he's a dime a dozen. Two never noticed how badly Inanimate Insanity Nickel wanted to complete in BFDI! (#NotMyNickel). Inanimate Insanity Nickel confesses that he loves BFDI so much that he lied that Nonexisty was his friend despite the fact that his real friends at the time, were actually, nonexistent. He also claims to be jealous that BFDI Nickel thinks he can steal HIS DREAM! Flower wonders why there can't be two Nickels, but Robot Flower says that would be redundant. Two figures out there are two ways the conflict might end: Either accept the fact that there are two different Nickels or determine the one TRUE Nickel! Two guesses he could try both, which is impossible.

Announcer confirms that Inanimate Insanity Nickel is a fraternal clone of BFDI Nickel just like Purple Round Speaker, Cheese Orb, and Spike Ball Speaker Box are fraternal clones of Announcer who never leave him alone. Two told the Nickels that they don't have to be one of them, because that would be a miracle there's two of them. Tennis Ball told why stop at two Nickels and thinks about what if every show has its own coin, but Coiny told Tennis Ball not to get carried away and have more than enough so points at two Nickels as a joke. As everyone laughs, Rusty Coin appears with an suspicious look at the end.

Announcer knows the only solution is a tie breaker (pun intended). Goo starts cheering for the linguist looking Nickel. Test Tube notice that Nickels are taking their time to break neckties because those are tricky without hands, so two Nickels both wear the neckties and both not so different. Fan explains the lesson is not caught up in the difference that loses sight on how similar is. Two told the Nickels that they are both two of the kind. Inanimate Insanity Nickel ask Two about filling in for TPOT for a day, not allowed. So, they all cheer together at the end. Fan audibly wonders how the II characters had even gotten to Goiky.

- Coiny and Tennis Ball are the only characters not present in the II version.
- This short advertised the upcoming BFDI x II Meet Up, which is set to occur on June 25, 2023 in Los Angeles and July 8, 2023 in New York.

- Nickel telling the Announcer he has a "bad history with spelling" might be a reference to Nick Le.
- Nickel mentioning how he felt like "he had just been hit by a wall" is a direct tie-in to "Friend or Froze", where he was killed by a large chunk of a wooden wall.
