The Flying Buddy is a single-pilot rocketship constructed by by Test Tube, Lightbulb, Microphone, Knife, Suitcase, and Baseball, led under the direction of Test Tube to save Fan in "Hatching the Plan". The rocket is created by parts of the Dr. Fizz soda machine. The ship was named "The Flying Buddy" by Lightbulb so that Test Tube would have one since Lightbulb claims she has plenty, referencing a reoccurring line Lightbulb says to Paintbrush in "Let Er' R.I.P." and to Fan in "Mazed and Confused".
The Flying Buddy is constructed using parts from the Dr. Fizz soda machine that is typically used as an entrance to Test Tube's Laboratory. The rocket is a square shape similar to the original machine, with two fins made from scrap parts, one bearing the Dr. Fizz logo. On top of the rocket is a nose cone with a spinning propeller. The rocket has one main thruster that produces a blue flame with three small rotating capsules. Inside the rocket is a pilot seat surrounded by different control panels. Although not confirmed, the propeller on the tip of the rocket is similar to the ram air turbine (RAT) propellers on rocket aircraft.
