The Groscers are an awards ceremony present in Inanimate Insanity Invitational, in which the show had been nominated several times for. The awards are hosted by Groscer, and were first mentioned in "Stranded in Paradise".

In the series[]

In "Stranded in Paradise", The Groscers are first mentioned by Fan, who believes that A Party by the band Spoiled Lemon had been snubbed from an award at the previous Groscers. Paintbrush later thanks The Groscers after being deemed "a favorite" by the viewers.

In "Out of Body Experience", the contestants film a special television episode of the show for The Groscers submissions, hoping to possibly receive the "Best Reality Show" nomination. Paintbrush is also enthusiastic, hoping to get nominated for "Best Reality Show Star". The contestants then take a group picture for promotional purposes shortly before being crushed by the bridge. Ballpoint Pen also arrives, who MePhone4 names as his "toughest critic", and that if he gave them a bad review they would lose any chance at getting a Groscer. Ballpoint Pen later mentions that Paintbrush was a frontrunner for "Best Reality Show Star".

In "The Show Must Go On", MePhone4 announces to the remaining four contestants that the show had been nominated for "Best Reality Show", which excites everybody. Groscer then calls MePhone4 and congratulates him, and asks him why the amount of episodes he had submitted didn't equal the full episode count he had submitted. MePhone4 gets nervous, and lies to Groscer telling her he could submit the rest later. He admits to his contestants that he had lied about the shows episode count to be eligible for a Groscer. Walkie-Talkie then gives them the idea of creating the most fake episodes as the episode's challenge to make sure they kept the nomination.

After much doubt from the contestants throughout the day, Walkie convinces MePhone4 to use the Animation Machine to make a fake episode, which is very low quality compared to his expectations. He calls Groscer and admits that he had lied about the episode count. Groscer then tells him that she had been watching the entire thing, and had already revoked his nomination.

In "A Jury of Your Fears", Groscer joins The Unvitational Committee to take down MePhone4, angry that he had defiled the sanctity of their organization.

In "You Can't Do This Forever", Groscer explains that The Groscers was no longer respected after MePhone and Silver's machine-made episode had been shown live at the Groscer nominees.

Trivia[]

  • The Groscers seems to be heavily based off of the Oscars, which is a similar award ceremony for movies.
