The New Old Thinkers is an alliance in Inanimate Insanity Invitational. It originally consisted of The surviving Thinkers members + Cabby, but due to a series of flips the members of the alliance constantly changed. By the time of the endgame, the alliance dissolves due to Balloon flipping on it, but the alliance would still produce the winner of the season in Cabby, it's last remaining member. Additionally, all of the final 3 were involved in the alliance at some point of the game.

History[]

The alliance was first formed following Cabby's rejoin in "I Am Chocolate!", Yin-Yang remarks about how he thought of brining back all the Thinkers together, even though it was Cabby's idea. The subsequent scrambling leads to Paintbrush becoming the deciding vote, but her indecisiveness leads to the elimination of Test Tube in a 5-4-1 vote, securing The Thinkers the majority.

Cracks begin to form in "Pesty Besties", where the new Looney Balloonies alliance gives up attempting to convince Paintbrush. The Thinkers try and vote out Balloon, but to their dismay, The Floor is blindsided in a 5-4 vote. It's revealed that both Silver Spoon and Candle had flipped to the rival alliance, due to the lack of reliance on Candle within the Thinkers and the lack of an advantage to placate Silver (who only joined in the first place due to being given the Immunity Cookie.)

In "Home Is Where the Heart Is," the alliance tried to work together and failed to win the challenge, with things being awkward between Cabby and Paintbrush. The alliance decided to vote for Candle, likely due to her betrayal, but even with Bot throwing their vote, Paintbrush was still eliminated.

In "Friend or Froze," the alliance was further hurt by the loss of Yin-Yang's immunity votes. However, had they not been removed, Cabby and Yin-Yang theoretically survived by one of them winning the challenge (In the case of Yin-Yang winning, he could give his immunity cookie to Cabby) till whenever the Immunity votes expired. Despite this, they were compensated by MePhone giving them access to the Immunity Milk, though Cabby was hesitant to give it to Yin-Yang knowing it would mean that she herself would be eliminated. In the end, Cabby agreed to give Yin-Yang the advantage in order to cause mayhem in the other alliance by making them second-guess who the Milk would be played on in an attempt to cause the alliance to turn on each other. Ultimately, this plot was nearly thwarted by Bot's split vote plan, as well as Cabby and Yin-Yang opting not to play the milk. However, Balloon's strained position in the alliance caused him to flip allowing the alliance to get off scot free.

In "Spring on the Breakfast!," the alliance only had two successful members progressing throughout the challenge, as only their former and current opposing member was still competing, with at least a New Old Thinker left behind since they fell into a trap door. And to specifically summarize what the Thinkers done during the challenge, here's what they did. Yin-Yang was almost successful, as they were both approaching to the last puzzle room, but their time to complete was short-lived because Silver Spoon used the gift he was given by Candle in order to use it as an advantage. Therefore, Yin-Yang didn't made it successfully do to being gaslit by Silver's scheme. Balloon was lucky enough to still compete since he lets go Nickel and only by the time he works alone, he already lost a spring before he dropped Nickel at the trap door. He was also stuck with the Suitcase replica to just comfort him. And Cabby was already successful enough, as she reached to the cereal box before Bot does, and says the Springtastic catchphrase, but even if Springy only needed Bot to fulfill their promotion given to them, they were knocked out and eaten by The Floor before taking hold of Bot. In the end, Cabby was still given the Immunity Cookie anyway. Before the elimination, Yin-Yang, specifically Yang, wanted his alliance to vote for Silver Spoon, in vengeance of his betrayal at him. Balloon agrees since that's the only to make sure the Looney Balloonies fall apart, and Cabby didn't say a word at all, as Nickel proceeded the elimination anyway. Voting has concluded, and it's a tie between Yin-Yang and Silver Spoon, which ultimately, they were given a recount of voting, and with the exception for both Yin-Yang and Silver Spoon, the other four were the only ones who choose either one of them. Both alliances agree in hostile manner that their votes remained unchanged. Which not only put Yin-Yang and Silver Spoon in the safe spot, but it was already known that Cabby still holds the Immunity Cookie, which still puts her in the safe spot as well. A declaration for a tiebreaker elimination because the only two members of their opposing alliances made up the decision to accept their fate, so in return, Bot was eliminated instead, which doesn't harm the alliance as much. But that's when Balloon had some remorse and regret for that decision. Meaning, this was the last time the alliance still lives up for their reputation, since it was at the verge of dissolution.

In "Blue Buried," the alliance doesn't matter anymore, because each member was given an eliminated contestant. Cabby for Lifering, Balloon for Tea Kettle, and Yin-Yang for Goo. All of their evidences turned to become failures, as with Balloon's team, he accused Tea Kettle for what he claims as "poisoning" over rotten pastry he was given by her, and in return that Tea Kettle also accused him for that claim. Yin-Yang were not being cooperative, as Yin accuses Yang for unwanted murder, which didn't happen by that point, and Goo agrees anxiously. Finally, Cabby's team was really close to making Lifering rejoin the competition, as evidence by both of therm were close to how Blueberry made his successful scheme to rejoin the competition, all because it was Goo who is part of his plot and therefore was indeed involved. So by the end of the competition, Yin-Yang were still arguing at each other over fake murder, until they both overheard Nickel and Blueberry's conversation about taking Cabby out of the competition, and that's how they did so in a way to sacrifice themselves for Cabby. Yin-Yang gave the Immunity Milk to Cabby in order to save her from another elimination since eight episodes ago, which unfortunately for Yin-Yang, they were now eliminated as a result of a higher vote count compared to Nickel. Turn out, this was a plot twist to them, as Blueberry was smart enough to tell Nickel to vote for them instead, which also led to Balloon being their voter, as he found out his popularity was a threat among others where the now established jury vote system will vote for him instead in the finale. Yin-Yang was sweet enough to make sure Cabby still remains in the game, and they were sent flying afterwards. Thus, the alliance was declared dissolved since Balloon had to work alongside the remaining members of the now dissolved Looney Balloonies and Blueberry.

In "The Great Bluish Bake Off," the alliance continues to become less relevant and important since first of all caused this much damage due to members flipping, and also with Blueberry becoming a new threat to the game, so by that point a new association has been established, known as the Anti-Blueberry Alliance. Consisting of Nickel and Silver Spoon, as the previously known Looney Balloonies, Cabby as the only New Old Thinker, and Balloon as he was stuck between as a Looney Balloonie and a New Old Thinker, a mixed alliance member to be specific. When the new alliance were about to reach further in the Dessert Desert to the Deserted Dessert Island, they were stuck, poured in rain despite being stuck in a desert, almost abducted by Tyler Bombard, and were all given a way to the other side of the desert to the next island. Since everyone got their ingredients lost or damaged, one of Balloon's flowers were given to MePhone4 to do the judging. And although he disliked at first, they were equally given a 1/10 for the poetic speech Balloon. Blueberry was immediately disqualified after the oatmeal raisin cookie he baked caused serious global warming, and the island ended up in a brutal wildfire afterwards. The New Old Thinkers were in a questionable status, since by now Balloon has amends with Nickel and becoming friends again, and Silver Spoon only wanted Cabby to vote Nickel, as a choice to eliminate him as well. But Cabby votes for Blueberry and gets eliminated, and so just like the Looney Balloonies, the already dissolved New Old Thinkers were already at the verge for each one's conflict.

In "The Show Must Go On", at the end of the challenge where no one gets immunity. Silver still pleads to Cabby to vote for Nickel as he was starting to becoming the only individual where Cabby starts to lose trust in him. Meanwhile, Balloon had a pretty bold move in order to keep himself staying at the competition, and that's when the elimination already started. Nickel was declared eliminated, and as it turns out, Balloon told him about voting him out as a way to use it more like a new advantage to make sure he remains at the finals. Balloon even followed up that by under Cabby and her connections with everyone in the game, voting for Nickel out was the last thing to sacrifice since they pretty much had a pretty good relationship, where last episode was their proper reconciliation. And with Nickel out of the game, only some of the now dissolved New Old Thinkers alliance were now competing against each other since it's every contestant for themselves once and for all.

But despite the end of the New Old Thinkers few episodes ago, in "You Can't Do This Forever," Cabby was fortunately the winner of the show with a voting score of 7-6-2, compared to Balloon and Silver Spoon. Meaning she was the only New Old Thinker to successfully dominate the competition without even having to swap alliances. And even though Balloon and Silver Spoon were previously swapping alliances, they were at some point New Old Thinkers, so they both given 2nd place and 3rd place of being the most successfully alliance in the show's season has ever seen.
