"The Paper Cut" is the fourth (and most recent) episode of Fan's Fantastic Features and was released on January 30th, 2021. The episode also featured Cork. In this episode, Fan was meant to interview Paper, but Pepper and Salt interfered.
Synopsis[]
In another timeline, they took over Inanimate Insanity, and now, Salt and Pepper- sorry, the S+P department- is here with some mandatory suggestions for Fan's show! Will Fan give in to their demands? The fate of Fan's Fantastic Features hangs in the balance!
Plot[]
Fan begins the episode by welcoming the audience and saying that today he's going to interview another F.F.F. (Fellow Fiber Friend) announced to be Paper, but as soon as the show starts, Salt and Pepper walk in and tell Paper to get off the set. Fan asks them what they thought they were doing, and they replied that they were the S&P department (Standards and Practices). Fan then continues to explain to the audience what an S&P department is, then realizes that it only applies to television shows, and tells Salt and Pepper to get off the set. Test Tube then worriedly tells Fan that Salt and Pepper are trying to take control of the show, just like they did in an alternate timeline. Fan then realizes that it might be what Salt and Pepper are trying to do. They then continue to tell Fan that he needs to change the name of his show because it's so long. Fan then asks if they have any ideas, but they just say they don't want to force their own ideas in. He then remarks how she presents problems without solutions. Salt then asks Fan if he really wants them to write a note about him. Pepper remarks that there is a camera-lady & a tripod on the set, so she thinks that they should get rid of one of the other, offending Test Tube. Suddenly, the two ladies realize that the tripod's legs remind them of a crab, disgusting the two, and causing Salt to kick it. After it stops spinning, Salt points at Cork, and lets her come onto the stage. Even though Fan didn't plan to talk to Cork, Salt and Pepper say they're only making their vision a reality, but he thinks they're making his "nightmares" a reality. Cork suddenly pops into the conversation and tells him that he can't tell S&P what's to do for his show. Salt agrees, realizing her "alternate" version of her is so different, and Pepper asks if they have the same phone numbers. Fan eventually asks for another note, which Salt asks to get rid of Fan's "lucky mug", angering him and forcing Salt to leave. Pepper thinks she should change everything, claps her hands, and turns the whole room purple, (except the mug). Salt comes back 15 seconds later, snaps her fingers, and turns the room pink, scaring Fan. The girls make one final note, stating that Fan should change the logo's font, and eventually he signs a contract to do so. Suddenly, Pepper punches him off his chair, and explains that the contract was actually a way to "sell" the show to the duo, Fan sadly says his final words to his audience, leaves the room, and slightly concerns Salt. The screen goes to black, cuts to the fake "credits" made by S&P, (plus Cork), but switches to Fan and Paper in a different room. But then, Salt comes back to Fan and tells him that they don't want to take over the show, and hugs pepper, causing Paper to storm out of the room. Fan waves the viewers goodbye, drinks from the mug, and spits out his expired coffee.
During the ending, Fan tells Paper that he'll try to do an interview with him soon, (because OJ kicked them out of the room), and lists the Patreon names. Meanwhile, Salt calls "alternate" Pepper on her phone, but Test Tube claims that it's just the real Pepper.

Trivia[]
- This is the first time where there are more than two characters in the thumbnail.
- As of this episode, characters who appeared in the thumbnail (not including Fan) did not appear in an Inanimate Insanity II thumbnail.
- This is the last episode of the first season of Fan's Fantastic Features.
- At 6:01, when the "credits" appear, Salt and Pepper say, "What's that?", when the animation text appears. This may be a slight fourth wall break.
