"The Stacker" is a remake of the Season 1 episode of the same name and A New Stage In The Game. A combined version of both episodes, it is the fifth episode of Inanimate Insanity: Season 1 Remastered, and was released on May 17, 2025.
Synopsis[]
In this episode, they stack golf balls. Wow!
Plot[]
The episode begins with Salt and Pepper talking about OJ's new alliance (with Balloon and Bomb). Salt suggests that she and Pepper play with a frisbee to "dazzle it up" (though Salt mainly just wants to impress OJ). Pepper accidentally throws the Frisbee into Cloud, who cries, before it circles back and hits Salt. Pepper asks Salt if she's okay, and she answers that she is, but says that when you tip a salt shaker, you get bad luck. Pepper, in disbelief, then asks if Salt actually believes in something that bad. After waiting a few seconds, nothing seems to happen much to Salt's relief, until Cloud comes back and electrocutes both of them for hitting him.
Team Epic is up for elimination. MePhone4 starts by stating that he made cookies, but admits he ate them, much to Team Epic's dismay. MePhone4 says that there are 265 votes, and explains that the contestant with the most votes will be eliminated. Knife nervously says that he's probably doomed, but MePhone4 tells Knife not to be scared, because he won immunity. Team Epic gets Dora Dolls.
MePhone4 gives the first one to Knife. He gives the second one to Paintbrush, who has 33 votes. Nickel gets the third doll, having 46 votes. MePhone4 states that many people voted for Nick-Le with 70 votes, alluding to viewers who intended to vote for Nickel, but misspelled his name. Lightbulb receives 64 votes and is eliminated, rendering Marshmallow safe with 52 votes.
The episode then cuts to Idiotic Island, where the eliminated contestants are located. Paper is complaining about the fact that he is stuck there, Baseball is reading a book on "Where Babies Come From", and Lightbulb crashes into the caged island and shatters.
The next challenge is golf ball stacking (after the previous challenge of frisbee throwing is cancelled because of Salt and Pepper); the contestants have to stack three golf balls. The players who can't will be put up for elimination. Marshmallow remarks that the contest sounds easy, but MePhone4 corrects her, explaining that it's actually hard. He states that the teams will be temporarily broken up for this challenge. Paintbrush is pleased to learn they won't need to work with Knife.
The challenge starts with Marshmallow stating that the challenge was easy. When she attempts to stack her third golf ball, however, the entire stack is knocked apart. Paintbrush suggests to Nickel and Marshmallow that they need to work together to stack the golf balls, to which they do so successfully, drawing Knife's ire. Salt and Pepper also agree to help each other stack their golf balls, since Salt had just got her nails done and claims that would impact her ability to stack them. After Pickle and Taco finish their stack, Balloon argues that he doesn't want to work with Taco, upsetting her. Bomb walks up and explains that Taco hates being excluded, which only annoys Balloon further.
Meanwhile, Team Epic sneaks up on Knife stacking his golf balls, planning to get him eliminated. Knife notices and bluffs that MePhone4 will just give him immunity again, to which he says he won't. Regardless, he still brings up how even if their team were to successfully stop him, only one of them could actually win the challenge. Watching this interaction in boredom, MePhone4 asks for something to happen and gets a call from Adam in response as they discuss the next challenge. Adam suggests for him to stall until the next challenge by having fan-created contestants compete to get into the show.
Bomb, OJ, and Salt all finish their stacks. Balloon nearly finishes, but his stack is ruined by Taco running through it, which he demands to have fixed. Bomb does so by stealing Pepper's stack, granting Balloon immunity. Because of this, Pepper and Taco are put up for elimination. Back on Team Epic, Knife demands Marshmallow and Paintbrush fight, but Marshmallow backs out and gives Paintbrush the final immunity spot, putting herself up for elimination in the process.
Afterwards, MePhone4 introduces the new fan-created contestants to compete for a spot on the show, who all introduce themselves. The ten competitors are:
- Tellie, created by MarioLuigi3128
- Apple, created by TotalDrama23
- Teddy Bear, created by CowGirl27733
- Magnifying Glass, created by JaySillyBoy
- Spikey, created by WaluigiFreak789
- Magic-8, created by TheBombDigityShis
- Dictionary, created by ApePunch
- Bell, created by BlueLucario98
The episode ends with MePhone4 saying to tune in to see who joins the show.

Trivia[]
Continuity[]
- Nate Groth reprises his role as Nick Le, making this episode his first role in Inanimate Insanity since "A Kick in the Right Direction" over 11 years prior.
- Marshmallow's Dora Doll possibly foreshadows the events of Bow in "Let Er' R.I.P." & "Kick the Bucket".
Differences from "The Stacker"[]
- The "Last Time on Inanimate Insanity" recap at the start is removed.
- Salt and Pepper are struck by a cloud instead of a bomb being thrown at them.
- Marshmallow isn't burnt.
- In the original, the challenge of stacking golf balls wasn't shown in full when onscreen due to the "animators being lazy", according to the original episode's synopsis. In the remaster however, the challenge of stacking golf balls is fully shown. This, combined with the merge with A New Stage In The Game, makes this episode twice as long as the original.
- Instead of being voiced by Adam Katz speaking (inappropriate) Spanish, the Dora dolls now use a text-to-speech voice with a Spanish accent to recite somewhat-concerning declarations of love.
- Marshmallow is shown getting a Dora doll on-screen.
- The challenge was supposed to be a frisbee challenge before being changed to stacking golf balls.
- The challenge is to not be in the last two contestants of each team to stack the golf balls, instead of not being the last four contestants.
- Nickel struggles to stack instead of completing it with ease.
- Marshmallow loses on purpose.
- Knife has more of a major role in the episode, with more dialogue.
Differences from "A New Stage In The Game"[]
- The beginning showing off Idiotic Island is moved to the middle of the episode, after Lightbulb gets eliminated.
- Baseball is more in disbelief about the average wingspan of a stork than about their existence as a whole.
- A.D.A.M.'s picture of Bubble from Battle for Dream Island is replaced by a more generic picture of bubbles.
- TV was renamed to Tellie.
- Poptart's line was changed from "Sure, I'm pink, but I'm so manly enough to win!" to "This Poptart is gonna be a popstar when I win!", most likely due to the former alluding to toxic masculinity.
- 8-Ball was renamed to Magic-8.
- Cookie now speaks more coherently.
- Magnifying Glass has lines in his audition.
- Spikey Mervert is now just Spikey.
- The scene where Dictionary shows Apple's definition to her is cut.
General[]
- Michael Huang, the voice of Book in Battle for Dream Island, is the new voice of Dictionary, referencing how Dictionary's original design was similar to Book's.
- During the scene on Idiotic Island, Paper's voice starts to sound a bit raspier as he gets angry. This is intended to foreshadow his evil counterpart, as later confirmed by his voice actor HurricaneHunterJackson in one of Jazzy Oliver's livestreams.[1]
Cultural References[]
- When the camera zooms closer to Knife after he says "Gotta think!", it is a partial reference to the "Brain Blast" sequence in several episodes of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.
- Magic-8's name is a reference to the Magic 8 Ball toy.
- Cookie's voice sounds similar to Jorgen Von Strangle, a character from The Fairly OddParents.
- The Dora dolls' designs are a reference to the eponymous character of Dora the Explorer.
Goofs[]
- Despite being eliminated and shattering upon landing on Idiotic Island seconds earlier, Lightbulb appears intact in the group shot of MePhone4 announcing the contest, similarly to how Balloon appeared intact after being popped by Marshmallow in "The Arena of Death".
