Synopsis[]
Get ready for the GREATEST BIG-BUDGET BLOWOUT YOU'VE EVER SEEN!!! From directors to the almighty craft services, our Final 10 will transform into production crews to create a cartoon! Hah! ... what? Like it's hard? Yeah right. Together, our contestants will put pen to paper... maybe a couple hundred times... and reach all new heights! ... well, one of them at least.
Plot[]
Pre-Intro[]
As Goo calmly relaxes amongst a circle pile of pinecones, Bot slowly enters frame revealing they suddenly have long extendable legs, shocking Goo. Bot then reassures him it was because of Test Tube.
A flashback then plays showing Test Tube and Bot together as Bot thanks Test Tube for patching their head and removing the word blocker. Once the two arrive at the Pic-Nix Tables, Test Tube starts to order a chocolate cake with whipped cream but stops and worries to herself that Bot only likes the food because they were programmed to like what Bow likes, though Bot seemingly doesn't care. The Pic-Nix Tables generate two cakes, though Bot cannot reach and complains to Test Tube, prompting her with an idea.
We're brought back to the present, where Bot explains to Goo that Test Tube built them and that they are catching everyone up to speed on the news. Goo, at first, reacts rather surprised, but quickly becomes overjoyed and excited by Bot's new identity, though he mistakenly calls them "Bow", which Bot quickly notes they're "not actually Bow, so TBD I guess." Goo also mistakenly thinks "TBD" is now Bot's new name, as Bot quickly tries to explain it means "To Be Determined", though Goo cuts them off as he excitedly proclaims that Bot's new "robo-tastic adventures will now commence!" Bot seems slightly put-off but thanks Goo for understanding and starts to leave. Goo calls out "Bye TBD!" shocking Bot to inadvertently extend their legs and walk off in an uncomfortable fashion while Goo cheers.
Post-Intro[]
Following the events of the previous episode, MePhone4 attempts to lighten the mood by announcing the Final 10, revealing Ballpoint Pen's review crossed out with a 10 out of 10. MePhone4 starts to reveal the next challenge is to create a cartoon, prompting The Floor to note that cartoons take months to produce, though MePhone4 brushes this off quickly, as "People don't make these things themselves anymore." Zoetrope, an animation specialist, then appears alongside the Animation Machine, explaining that animation is now easier than ever, and begins to explain the challenge:
Challenge[]
Each team must fulfill five roles: Director, Producer, Writer, Artist and Craft Services. The Writer and Artist create the script and artwork respectively, the Produce fundraises a budget for the production, Craft Services provides food and beverages to the team, while the Director is less involved and must remain sitting in a high chair. Upon hearing "chair" uncensored, Bot excitedly approaches the Director's chair, but shrugs with indifference. MePhone4 ends off by telling the teams he will be grading the animations himself, and tells everyone to get animating.
Nickel gets The Thinkers together, asking his team if he could be director, which they all agree with, to Nickels surprise. Goo chooses to be the writer, wanting to make something celebrate his friend Bot, adding on that he is extra inspired. Candle senses that impending doom is ahead, however. Yin-Yang chooses to be producer with Yang stating his ability to produce chaos.
Over at The Pinkers, Balloon tells Bot that they have to do fundraising due to them "previously doing commercials" but Bot reminds him that that was a Bow thing and they aren't Bow. Paintbrush adds on telling Bot they are here for them and they can be whoever they want. Bot decides to be the artist. Paintbrush chooses to be the writer but notices that Silver Spoon had already taken it, and they start to argue. As the director, Test Tube says that they should be co-writers. This left Balloon to be the producer and craft services at once.
In an attempt to make money, Yin-Yang tries to advertise a bike, but it leads to the two halves arguing and Yin not agreeing to help Yang commit fraud. Nickel starts to notice that his teammates aren't preforming well, and attempts to do something before MePhone and Zoetrope lashes out at him for getting out of his chair. Paintbrush yells at Test Tube over Silvers incompetence, Test Tube gives a motivational response leading Silver and Paintbrush to finally get along. Balloon attempts to make money but fails, so he starts reading out his poetry.
Nickel gets out of his chair to see that Goo had written an entire pile of pages. Goo tells him that the animation has to be a celebration for Bot due to their friendship. Nickel replies telling Goo maybe their friendship is all they need, but Goo calls it nonsense. Nickel tells Candle to help out Yin-Yang, hoping they could raise a modest budget.
Paintbrush and Silver show their finished script to Test Tube telling her its their best work yet, with Bot also getting the art done. However, they all freak out due to forgetting about Balloon. Balloon managed to raise 20$ by reading off his poetry. Nickel goes to check on Candle to see she was using her inner flame to carry Yin-Yang through the air, giving them a LOT of money.
MePhone then announces that time is almost up. Balloon returns to his team with his money with Silver calling his earnings "dreadful". The Thinkers on the other hand, managed to raise 10,000,000 dollars.
The Pinkers go first, putting all of their components into the Animation Machine. Their animation, "The Artistic Kick", started off with two ninjas in a field. One of them says "KARATE!" before the video abruptly ended. Yin-Yang thought the graphics were insane, while Silver and Paintbrush were angry over how little of the script made it on screen. Zoetrope enjoyed it, saying it captured the idea that life is "just fleeting"
The Thinkers go to put their components in before Candle states that they could split up the money and make a run for it. Nickel tells Candle that they could make ten times more money with franchising and an exhausting amount of sequels. Candle agrees with Nickel. Nickel however realizes that the reason everyone agreed with him and the budget gain was due to Clover's luck. After realizing this he runs away.
The Thinkers throw their components into the machine. Their animation, "Title TBD", started with a knight idolizing a toaster, named TBD. The Pinkers watch it with confused looks. The Floor asks Goo why its a knight, which he responds that he was motivated over the "medieval times" talk.
After 2 hours, Yin-Yang gets super angry and grabs a bike to smash the TV but hesitates. Candle tells him to smash it anyways so he does. Zeotrope tells MePhone they lost their security deposit, which MePhones says was worth it. MePhone puts The Thinkers up for elimination.
Candle tells Yin-Yang that Goo has to pay the ultimate price due to his script. Elsewhere, Goo tells The Floor that Candle needs to be voted out, due to her control over Yin-Yang being scary. The Floor tells Goo he's not committing to anything but his choice would be strategic.
Elimination[]
At the Elimination Ceremony, MePhone4 congratulates The Thinkers on wasting so much money so quickly. Due to feeling bad about it, Yang gives Yin his plush Riggity Rex back. MePhone announces that Yin-Yang had won immunity for the third time. With 3 votes, Goo becomes the 9th person eliminated. Bot visits Goo before he gets launched into the sky, with both saying their goodbyes.
Later, Goo crash lands on Indefinite Island, when Walkie-Talkie says "Its time".

Production Notes[]
Continuity References[]
- MePhone4's line about "creating something we BELIEVE in" is a parallel to the previous episode, where Ballpoint Pen says "they have to make something that they believe in".
- MePhone4 also shows off Ballpoint Pen's review from the previous episode, which had been crossed out with a 10/10.
- Test Tube makes note that Chocolate cake with whipped cream is Bow's favorite food. This is referenced previously in "The Shame of the Name" by Cabby.
Cultural References[]
- Candle tells Yin-Yang to Do it while he's hesitating to break the TV is a resemblance to Palpatine saying "Do It!" to Anakin Skywalker in the 2005 movie Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
Trivia[]
- Zoetrope is the only character being a debut to feature a voice actor as a guest star. His voice actor has a YouTube account, which can be found here.
- This is the only episode in this season where only two people are writers behind the episode, the rest became directors.
- The knight in The Thinkers' production "Title TBD" was portrayed by Adam Katz himself.
- The episode's title is in reference to the placeholder term "To Be Determined" used very broadly in event or production planning to indicate that although something is scheduled or expected to happen, a particular aspect of that remains to be fixed or set.
- This is especially in reference to the context of Bot's, as they have yet to fully figure out who they are, using "TBD" as a way of expressing the answer is yet to be decided.
- This is the final episode of Inanimate Insanity invitational to be directed by Taylor Grodin, after which he was removed from the team, alongside crew member LorenTzel.
- In addition, this is the last time that Bot spoke with their original voice, as they received a new voice the next episode, according to Test Tube, from modifications to Bot. It was ready at the end of episode.
- This is the first episode to be released in July in 11 years since "One-Shot Wonder". This is most likely due to AnimationEpic having summer hiatuses, and long production of Inanimate Insanity II episodes.
- Additionally, Inanimate Insanity II is the only season without an episode that was released on July.
